Soooooo, I went to State this weekend. ^_^ I went with with my beloved team to the Cross Country Sate meet in Phoenix on Friday night. I was great! On Friday, we left right after school and then drove in our little van for 4 hours to the city of Phoenix. It was honestly disapointing that we had to take one of the school's van. We have these awesome school buses that we call Big Red because they are our school colors (Red and Black) with a giant Wildcat (School Mascot) reaching out of a rib of the red on the bus. I can't descibe them but they are awesome. But anyways we have two of these awesome buses but my team was not able to take one for the first time this season. Instead our (wonderful) football team and our (honestly wierd) band took them to their state. It was dipressing for me T_T. Soooo, we had to fit 13 people into a tiny van. (Thank God we had fit pretty well!) The 13 people were the boys team (7 runners), the 3 girl runners that made it as individuals (saddly we did not make it as a team), our sucky ass creeper of a team manager, our awesome Coach, and the driver. Let me just say it was an interesting ride, mostly sence the other two girls that had made it had either their boyfriend or sex buddy on the boys team. Me, I'm still single and my dear friends love to remind me of it too -_-'. So, at the meet I had one of my best times which was 25:11:16, not bad for me in a 5k or 3.1 miles. I got 92 of 121 girls in my division. Not so great, but my coach keep reminding me that as the first Freshmen to go for my school in Cross Country, I was only going to get better. Love you Coach Lester! ^_^ The girl who got first in my division had about 19 minutes so I know what my goal is for next year at least. So watch out people! After we ran the meet, we came home and partied at my beloved twin's sweet 16 party (really not my twin), she was one of the girls that had made it with me to state, but she is more of a beast compared to me. She ran her best time ever and still only placed in the 50's. But for the first year my school having a girls cross country team, I think we did pretty okay. We can only get better. So, Im going to end this with only saying that I love my team! Can't wait for next year!
